Hauntingly beautiful…

A series of photos called  “Wonderland,” by British photographer Kirsty Mitchell.

A child who lost her mother to brain cancer. A lady who hurt and grieved. A woman who transformed her soul’s dull, colourless suffering into inspiration of inexplicable radiance, beauty and colour.

“Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera.”

“This escapism grew into the concept of creating an unexplained storybook without words, dedicated to her [my mother], that would echo the fragments of the fairytales she read to me constantly as a child.”

Here is her wonderland:

Queen of ships

There is spring to look forward to

There are no words to describe the ethereal beauty conceived when human creativity is married to nature’s majesty.

God is the author of it all.
